I'm a computer scientist who happens to love computers. I currently work for Apple Inc. and run Easy Software Products with my wife (Tammy). In my spare time I play cards and other games, play piano (learning) and trumpet, do lots of "home improvement" projects, and take lots of photos.

In a former life I did a lot of IRIS GL and OpenGL computer graphics work and co-wrote the first two editions of the OpenGL SuperBible with Richard S. Wright, Jr. I'm also the author of the CUPS book and documentation which has been translated into Japanese and Chinese so far, Serial Programming Guide for POSIX Operating Systems, and Software Distribution Using the ESP Package Manager. No, I didn't pick the picture for the CUPS book...
